Guest Researcher

I'm a PhD Fellow in Behavioural Ecology at the University of Copenhagen. I aim at investigating vocal, physiological and behavioural correlates of emotional expression in farm animals to better evaluate their welfare and improve human-animal relationship.

Over the past years, I had the privilege to work on many topics including spatial memory in Huntington mice, form and colour perception in honeybees, explorative behaviours in pigs, as well as expression of emotions conveyed in vocalizations of sheep. As a PhD Fellow at the University of Copenhagen, my research project is mainly focused on investigating production and perception of horses’ vocalizations under the leadership of Elodie Mandel-Briefer (University of Copenhagen) and David Reby (ENES / CRNL - Université Jean Monnet). By combining knowledge from sound physics, physiology and ethology, this project aims at providing a throughout understanding on the means through which animals can transmit independent pieces of information simultaneously to convey affective states to conspecifics.
