Micromeria zarkosii (Lamiaceae), an unusual new species from Naxos (central Kiklades, Greece)

Micromeria zarkosii (Lamiaceae) is described as a new species belonging to Micromeria Benth. sect. Micromeria. It is restricted to the south Aegean island of Naxos in the central Kiklades, Greece. The taxon is illustrated and its morphological characteristics, habitat and affinities are described.
