Octosporella fusispora sp. nov. (Pezizales), with a key to the species of the genus

A new species of Octosporella on Pellia (Metzgeriales, Hepaticae) is described from a collection made from the New Forest, England. It is distinguished by 8-spored asci and fusoid ascospores. The new species is compared with others of the genus and a key for identification of the eight known species is provided.
