NORDPLUS-funded higher education student exchange programme
What is Fisknät?
Fisknät is a student exchange programme between the Universities at Jyväskylä, Tromsø, Århus and Copenhagen. The purpose of the programme is to offer students possibilities to take courses of special interest, especially those which are not offered at their home university. As the name of the programme implies, it is aimed at students interested mainly in fishery science, fish biology and related topics.
Financial support for students from Fisknät
In addition to the regular support (increased by 10% for Finnish students) from the government of their own country, the students are given a grant of 180 €/month plus 400-450 € to cover travelling costs. This money is intended for studies over the whole academic year (10 months), but shorter periods are also possible.
Studies in participating universities
It has been agreed that all studies related to major subject taken in the other participating university can be used as a part of the degree in the home university.
