Primary fields of research

My research includes the study of both archaeological as well as forensic skeletal material. Development of anthropological methods is also part of it. The skeletal material is analysed to answer questions on health, disease, trauma and demography. I use isotopes to analyse diet and mobility patterns.

I also work as a forenic anthropologist helping the police on national cases (identification work and analysis of trauma patterns) and participate in international missions.

Fields of interest

Human osteology, palaeopathology, stable isotope analysis, forensic anthropology
