Currently, during my PhD project I am looking into the effects of abiotic stress of combined heat and drought on wheat. This is exciting to me since climate change and a rising world population is increasingly threatening our food security and pressuring crop production, making it necessary to research ways in which we can improve and maintain high yield and breed "climate-proof" crops for the future.
