PhD Student Network

The PhD Student Network at The Department of Biology is a social and professional network for all BIO PhD students where everyone feels welcome and has a space to find peers who share similar interests.

The events organized by the network focus on socializing, networking, personal and academic development. In the core of The PhD Network there are ten people from different sections of the Department.

Seminar on personal finances

Have you ever wanted to get started on saving some money but were overwhelmed by the process? Getting started with personal finances and savings can be a daunting task.

To help you, we would like to invite you to a seminar introducing the basic ideas on personal finances and how to get started making short and long term saving plans.

The Seminar will be held on the 29th of April from 15.30 to 16.30 in Biocenter Room 1-1-13 (SCI-BIO-Biocenter-1-1-13). It will be held by Werner Flaig, who has many years of experience working in the private finance sector and currently is the CFO at Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group, he will give an introduction into the core ideas and strategies of personal finances and present possible savings strategies for early career people. We will also discuss how to make an individual saving plans that can be adjusted to everyone's needs and possibilities. Afterwards there is time for a Q&A.
