Growing under water - how plants cope with low CO2

Research output: Contribution to journalJournal articleResearch

Aquatic plants are never short of water but instead they are challenged with low light and slow movement of oxygen (O₂) and carbon dioxide (CO₂). In the present paper, we focus on CO₂ limitation of underwater photosynthesis
and the various strategies to overcome the limitation resulting from evolutionary adaptation to growth under water. Knowledge of such strategies helps you to
select the right CO₂ environment and thereby maximize the chances that your favorite plants flourish.
