Postdoc in REPIN - Rethinking Protein Interactions
My primary interest lies in the structure-function relationship of proteins. Different combinations of relatively few, simple building blocks, give rise to huge functional diversity in biological systems, and this relationship deeply fascinates me. Structure, function and the link between structure and function are three different basic research questions and solving them together will provide the full answer to a biological question.
During my PhD studies, I focused on elucidating structure-function relations of transcription factors controlling defence responses in plants, specifically the structure-function relationship of MYB transcription factors in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana.
