BIO Maternity/paternity leave for research group leaders
BIO wishes to support research group leader's research career in connection with maternity/paternity leave.
Research group leaders comprises tenured academic staff (tenure-track assistant professors, associate professors, professors) and temporary employed assistant professors and associate professors.
For temporary employed assistant professors and associate professors, you must:
- be employed on a long-term grant (five years), which you have acquired yourself,
- have at least one PhD-student or post doc employed in your group, and
- have at least two years left on your employment contract.
In order to be eligible for compensation for maternity/paternity leave, it is a prerequisite that your maternity/paternity leave is for > five months. It is possible to apply for funding for a laboratory technician/research assistant/postdoc for 6 to 12 months.
A reasoned application must be submitted to the BIO-leadership.
