Sofie Boldsen is a postdoc at Center for Phenomenological Psychology and Aesthetics. In her current project, she investigates the complex phenomenology of affective atmospheres through central theoretical sources in the intersection between aesthetics, phenomenology, and psychology. The project is part of “Aesthetic Experience. An Empirical Investigation in Phenomenological Psychology” led by Associate Professor Tone Roald.

Sofie Boldsen earned her PhD from Roskilde University, where she studied the phenomenology of autism through a qualitative empirical investigation of social experiences in autistic youth. Her research interests revolve around topics such as phenomenological psychology and psychopathology, handicap studies, embodiment, perception, movement, and intersubjectivity.
