Do you want to use NMR but lack a high field magnet? Then this is for you!
cOpenNMR is happy to announce the annual Daisy NMR Award targeting PhD students, postdocs and SME in the Copenhagen area. The award constitutes one week of free NMR time at the cOpenNMR facility including technical assistance for recording and analyzing the NMR spectra. The top 10 applications will be shortlisted and given the opportunity to discuss their projects with the cOpenNMR steering committee to develop it further. After a final evaluation, a maximum of three application will be awarded with the Daisy Award.
No prior knowledge or competence in NMR spectroscopy is required, and full assistance for planning, running & analyzing the NMR experiments will be provided. PhD students and post docs at SBiNLab are not eligible to apply.
The application should in max. 1000 words (max. two A4, including 1 figure) describe the project and the idea, and must highlight the question, where NMR spectroscopy may be useful. The applications are evaluated based on the applicability of NMR spectroscopy to answer the question posed, and the feasibility of the suggested experiments. The evaluation is independent of the research field, the state of the project or prior experience with NMR spectroscopy.
The award will be celebrated at the ISBUC annual meeting (www.isbuc.ku.dk) and a certificate with be issued from the facility and highlighted on the facility homepage.
To participate in the competition, fill out the form below and upload your proposal.
Deadline for application is June 1st, 2024. The NMR time will be available from Sept 1st 2024.
