Functional groups of bacteria on decomposing ash litter.

Research output: Contribution to journalJournal articleResearchpeer-review

The bacterial population of decomposing ash litter was separated into 10 different functional groups based on a selection of cultivation and isolation methods. The most common isolates in both litter and organic horizon were pleomorphic rods. In the F horizon spore forming bacilli were equally frequent, while pseudomonads were present in only low numbers.-from Authors
