Current research

Taxonomy and biogeography of arctic and antarctic lichens with focus on the family Teloschistaceae; methods include secondary metabolites and DNA-sequencing. Lichens as biomonitors of air pollution, particularly nitrogen deposition originating from agriculture. Lichens on nitrogen enriched heathland.
