Eco-physiology and adaptations of aquatic organisms
Eco-physiology and adaptations of organisms is studied in the context of environmental conditions and global change. Flood tolerance, effect of phytotoxins and use of inorganic carbon of aquatic and semi-aquatic plants, and well as respiratory adaptations, thermal sensitivity and growth energetics of invertebrates are focal areas. Micro-sensors and experimental laboratory and field setups are applied to address these questions.
