Have you ever purchased a plant and had high expectations that it would form red leaves back home in your tank? Sometimes it happens and sometimes not and the rumours have it that in order to promote red leaves, you need high light levels. This article provides you with the latest knowledge on the physiological function of red leaves and also some tips ‘n’ tricks on how to promote red leaves in your planted tank. You will also learn that red leaves can form in a matter of days, including in plants where you would not expect it to happen.
